Vanessa Guan ‘26

Vanessa Guan is currently a sophomore at Northeastern University, pursuing a combined major in Computer Engineering and Computer Science. Growing up in Sacramento, California, she began her training at a local studio when she was six and later attended Northern California Dance Conservatory, where she further developed her technique. Vanessa's journey in dance includes participating in the Youth American Grand Prix, where she earned awards and scholarships to train in summer programs like the Pacific Northwest Ballet and the Bolshoi Ballet. During her time at the Boston Ballet's Summer Dance Program, she fell in love with the city of Boston, leading her to attend Northeastern University. Vanessa's interest in both dance and computer science reveals her fascination with the intersectionality of these fields, exploring how the precision and creativity of dance can uniquely enhance her understanding of computer science.
