As a not-for-profit, student-run dance organization, Harvard Ballet Company relies on donations, ticket sales and member dues to support its biannual productions as well as all other company activities.
Donations allow us to:
Bring in Guest Artists and Choreographers: Your contribution will help us to bring in accomplished guest choreographers, which is always a rewarding experience for our dancers and a treat for the audience. Furthermore, by featuring guest work on our stage, we enhance HBC's standing in the dance community.
Cover Production Costs: Donor contributions help pay for new costumes, set props, lighting, and access to performance spaces like the Loeb Mainstage.
Grow our Endowment Fund: Donations that do not go directly to performance costs are deposited into our endowment account. Over the years, donations from generous alumni, parents, and friends have sustained our growing endowment account, which one day we hope to put towards establishing a student endowment fund with Harvard University. This fund would help to provide resources for the company for many years to come.
