Sophie Freeman ‘30
Sophie Freeman is a freshman at Boston College majoring in Biology and International Studies on a pre-med track. She began her classical ballet training at age six with Ballet Royale Minnesota and trained in the Pre-Professional Division there through high school, most recently as a member of the Professional Division during her senior year. Sophie has performed in more than 25 professional productions, including roles in The Nutcracker, Coppélia, Cinderella, Romeo and Juliet: A Rock Ballet, Carmina Burana, and The Wall: A Rock Ballet. She was honored to perform the role of Clara in The Nutcracker during her senior year. Sophie has also competed with Youth America Grand Prix multiple years in Chicago and Pittsburgh. She has participated in extended summer ballet intensives and has trained extensively in ballet, pointe, jazz, modern, pas de deux, and conditioning. Sophie is passionate about making ballet accessible to everyone and creating opportunities for people of all backgrounds to experience the joy of dance.
