Siena Devine Guzmán ‘29

Siena Devine Guzmán is a first-year student at Harvard from Miami, Florida, planning to concentrate in Government with a focus on International Relations and a secondary in Earth and Planetary Sciences. Siena trained at Armour Dance Theatre for fourteen years under the instruction of Artistic Director Ruth Wiesen, Mariana Alvarez, and Maria Teresa Del Real. In 2025, she graduated as valedictorian from New World School of the Arts, a nationally recognized visual and performing arts high school in downtown Miami. Siena is classically trained in ballet and has also studied modern dance (Graham, Horton, Taylor, Cunningham, and Limón), contemporary, and jazz. At New World, she performed in sixteen productions annually, including The Nutcracker, spring and autumn concerts, and student choreography showcases. Her training has been further shaped by summer intensives at the Dance Theatre of Harlem and Joffrey Ballet School, where she received a full scholarship to the 2024 Ballet Intensive and a partial scholarship to the Ballet Trainee Program. Passionate about using the arts to drive social change, Siena has advocated for public arts funding in Florida and had her op-ed published in The Miami Herald. She is excited to contribute to Harvard’s creative community as both a dancer and choreographer!
