Selina Li ‘30
Selina is a first-year at Harvard College planning to pursue a dual concentration in Computational Neuroscience and Philosophy. She has been dancing for 8 years, training in contemporary, ballet (including pointe and neoclassical), jazz, American ballroom, tap, and modern. Selina has spent the majority of her journey as a competitive dancer with Center Stage Dance Studio in Northfield, Ohio. She has worked with, danced for, and/or trained under artists such as Khalid, Mitchel Federan, Gemma Bender, Jon Bond, Inna Stabrova, Dimitriy Tuboltsev, Chad McCall, Shannon Mather, Brian Nichols, Jess Hendricks, Yue Yin, and many more. Selina was a Press Play Season 1 Featured Artist winner, and placed Top 3 with her solo at 2024 National Dance Honors. At the 2026 Velocity Season Finale, Selina placed as a Top 7 soloist, Top 20 Senior Maximum Velocity Artist, and Maximum Velocity Artist(+) winner. This year, alongside the Harvard Ballet Company, Selina will be dancing with the Harvard Undergraduate Contemporary Collective and Velocity Dance Convention’s Maximum Velocity Artist(+) Pre-Professional Program. She is also 1 of 7 fellows in the pioneer year of the Dance In Public movement at Harvard University. Outside of dance, Selina enjoys researching, playing piano and violin, rock climbing, crocheting, drawing, cooking, and debating in value theory.
