Olivia Callander ‘26
Olivia Callander is a senior at Harvard from San Francisco, California, pursuing a degree in History of Science with a secondary in Global Health and Health Policy. She is the current co-director of Harvard Ballet Company. Olivia trained at the San Francisco Ballet School (SFBS) for 8 years under the instruction of Director Patrick Armand and Artistic Director Helgi Tomasson. She had the privilege of dancing alongside the company in many of San Francisco Ballet’s repertoires. Olivia made her début as Clara in Tomasson’s Nutcracker and danced the role for two consecutive years. She was also selected to perform in SF Ballet’s Giselle, Don Quixote, Romeo and Juliet, Coppélia, and multiple Opening Night Galas. Additionally, Olivia danced in several SFBS Student Showcases and Spring Festivals. Outside of San Francisco Ballet, Olivia has attended summer intensive courses at American Ballet Theater, Boston Ballet School, Royal Ballet School, and English National Ballet School. She took a gap year following high school and continued her training at the Dance Training Center in San Francisco. Olivia is excited for her fourth year dancing and performing with HBC!
