Joséphine Meriot ‘27
Joséphine Meriot is a junior at Northeastern University, majoring in biology with a minor in journalism, on the pre-medical track. She began training at CityDance School and Conservatory at the age of 10 when her family moved to the area from France. There, she trained in classical ballet, in the Day Program under Stanislav Issaev and Lorraine Spiegler, and performed a diverse repertoire spanning classical and contemporary works, including collaborations with Robert J. Priore, Ignite Artist. A recipient of the Carol Trawick Scholarship, she has presented at YAGP regionals and performed in Priore’s Wepa, which won 1st place at YAGP in 2023. She was also a soloist in Therese Gahl’s Atlas Intersections Festival and has danced in prestigious venues across the DC Metropolitan area. To further her training, she has attended summer intensives at Bolshoi Ballet, Richmond Ballet, Koresh Dance Company, Philadanco, and American Ballet Theatre in New York City. In 2024, she joined Harvard Ballet Company, and is set to premiere her first choreographic work in the 2026 Spring season.
