Mia Trevisani ‘24

Mia Trevisani is a senior at Boston University studying Biology. Mia is originally from New Hartford, NY where she trained for sixteen years with the Mohawk Valley Performing Arts under the direction of Melissa Larish. During her time at the MVPA, Mia has performed in various leading roles such as Swanhilda in Coppelia, Dew Drop Fairy, Snow Queen, and Sugar Plum Fairy in the Nutcracker. In addition to the MVPA, Mia was personally trained by Nikoloz Makhateli, former principal dancer with the National Opera and Ballet Theater of Georgia USSR. She has also worked with Robert Maiorano, former soloist with the New York City Ballet who has worked with George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins. Mia has also attended various summer intensive programs including Joffrey Ballet, American Ballet Theater, and Boston Ballet. In 2019, she competed in the Youth American Grand Prix where she was placed in the top 24 of the senior age division. Before the pandemic, Mia was invited to attend the Master Ballet Academy in Scottsdale, AZ as a student. She was also recently invited to attend the Grand Audition in Barcelona to audition for contracts with various ballet companies in Europe. Outside of HBC, Mia is also a member of the Boston Ballet Volunteer Association.
