Josie Choi ‘30
Josie is a freshman at Tufts University studying biology. She grew up in Manhattan and began her ballet training at Ballet Academy East, where she trained for eight years before moving to Rye, New York, in ninth grade and continuing her training at Rye Ballet Conservatory. During her time there, Josie performed a variety of classical and contemporary works, including Odile in Swan Lake, Violente in The Sleeping Beauty, Paquita, and roles in pieces such as Balanchine's Serenade and Sean Lavery's Twinkliana. She has also enjoyed performing original contemporary works. Outside of ballet, Josie enjoys spending time with friends and family, golf (in doses), and being Korean. She is excited to begin her first year dancing with the Harvard Ballet Company, meet new dancers, and learn new pieces during college!
