Catherine Hearne ‘27
Catherine is a junior at Boston College studying Economics, with minors in Dance and Catholic Studies. She grew up training at Connecticut Concert Ballet (CCB) under the artistic direction of Wendy Fish-Lawrence and David Lawrence. She performed annually in CCB's production of The Nutcracker, dancing numerous roles from Clara to the Snow Queen. In the summers, she attended intensives with the Bolshoi Ballet Academy, American Ballet Theatre, and the Hartt School, among others. She represented CCB at the 2023 Connecticut Classic Ballet Scholarship Competition, dancing a variation from The Pharaoh's Daughter. In addition to ballet, Catherine studied jazz, tap, Irish, and other styles at the Griffith Academy under former Rockette, Mary Beth Griffith. During her freshman year at BC, Catherine danced pom and jazz styles with the Golden Eagles Dance Team, performing at BC home football games, a New England Patriots game and the Fenway Bowl. Catherine is excited for her first semester performing with HBC!
