Catalina Wong
Catalina Wong is a biomedical engineering exchange student from Monterrey, Mexico, currently in the class of 2026 and pursuing a research internship at Harvard Medical School. Catalina began dancing at a young age and received her professional ballet training at Monterrey Ballet School. During her time there, she performed principal roles in the school’s productions, danced alongside the company in selected performances, and participated in various events, competitions, and festivals. Her experiences include appearances in Mexico, the United States, Canada, and Cuba, such as the National Ballet School of Cuba's “Fernando Alonso” Ballet Intensive, YAGP Mexico, Cancun International Ballet Festival, Prix de Guadalajara Luisa Díaz, where she earned top awards and scholarships. Throughout her training, Catalina participated in national and international summer intensives at renowned institutions such as Central Florida Ballet, Joffrey Ballet School, Monterrey Ballet, and JoffreyRED Contemporary Ballet with Josie Walsh. After graduating in 2020, Catalina performed with independent contemporary dance companies in Monterrey before beginning her university studies at Tecnológico de Monterrey. She joined the university's representative dance company, where she performed in major productions, took on principal roles, and expanded her versatility by working in styles such as modern, contemporary, hip hop, heels, jazz, and more. Additionally, she has taught and choreographed workshops, collaborating with distinguished instructors in the field. She is very excited to join HBC and perform in her first season with the company!
