Ariana Barillas ‘28

Ariana is a sophomore at Harvard College concentrating in History & Literature, with a secondary in government. Ariana grew up in Toronto, Canada, where she completed seven years of pre-professional training at Canada's National Ballet School. While at school, she had the opportunity to perform in various roles in George Balanchine's Serenade, Jera Wolfe's Arise, and James Kudelka's Lay Dances. She also has performed solo variations from Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote, and Swan Lake. She was also selected to participate in exchanges to the Australian Ballet School and the Houston Ballet Academy. She represented the National Ballet School at Assemblee Internationale, where she took part in discussions on how to mitigate discrimination in ballet. Ariana hopes to help HBC share the joy of ballet, and she looks forward to continuing her second year!
