Show Description
This fall, Harvard Ballet Company invites you into the world of Nocturne, a production born from both the stillness and energy of the night. This will take a myriad of forms, conjuring images of darkness, dreams, and quiet beauty through classical repertoire from Giselle mixed with student and guest choreography. The production features a new work choreographed by San Francisco Ballet’s Pemberley Ann Olson as well as an excerpt from Christopher Wheeldon’s An American In Paris, set by Abigail Simon. Additionally, Nocturne brings to light an exciting new collaboration with Candela, Harvard’s premier Latin dance troupe. Join us for an unforgettable performance where night unfolds in movement, music, and quiet wonder.

ABOUT US
Harvard Ballet Company is a student-run organization at Harvard College that performs classical ballet, contemporary, and modern dance. Our biannual shows feature choreography by alumnae, company members, professional guest artists, and world-renowned choreographers. HBC offers weekly ballet classes to all members, taught by local professionals as well as company members, appears in benefit performances both on and off-campus, and performs with other Harvard dance groups and in the Dance Festival at Arts First.
Harvard Ballet Company has quietly grown into one of America’s premier student dance groups. Since its creation in 1993, the company has continued to gain talented dancers, rising choreographers, and fresh ambition. Harvard Ballet Company looks to further students’ dance education through a supportive atmosphere, classes, and performances, while simultaneously encouraging their academic passions.
