Nicole Wein is a fourth-year PhD student at MIT studying theoretical computer science. She grew up dancing at Menlo Park Academy of Dance in Menlo Park, California. There, she was trained in the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus and completed all of her vocational exams. In 2011, she received RAD's Solo Seal award. She did her undergraduate degree in computer science and math at Harvey Mudd College where she was the president of the Claremont Colleges Ballet Company. She then began her PhD at Stanford University where she danced with the Cardinal Ballet Company. After a year and a half at Stanford, she followed her PhD advisor across the country and transferred to MIT. She is thrilled to be a member of HBC!
