Madeline Verbica

Madeline began her dance training at The Studio School of Classical Ballet in Soquel, CA. She gained performance experience at Santa Cruz Ballet Theatre before attending Walnut Hill School for the Arts as a dance major. Madeline intensified her training through summers at American Ballet Theatre, Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, American Repertory Ballet, and Alonzo King LINES Ballet. A scholarship to Butler University brought her to Indianapolis, where she performed various roles in The Nutcracker, Giselle, and new contemporary works. She also represented Butler Ballet on a choreography tour in Poland, Bratislava, Austria, and the Czech Republic. After suffering an injury, Madeline changed career paths. She graduated with a B.S. In Biology and Spanish with high honors, and a dance minor. Madeline was compelled to share the benefits of her dance training with underprivileged youth, so she founded a dance outreach program on Butler's campus. Madeline is currently completing a degree in Science Illustration at RISD, while training with teachers at Boston Ballet and Jose Mateo Ballet. She is excited to be back in the studio, and will be joining HBC in the cast of "Out of Orbit" this spring.
