Julia Springer '16

Julia Springer graduated from Wellesley College in 2016, and is thrilled to be back in Boston to dance with the Harvard Ballet Company and to work at Wellesley. While at Wellesley, Julia majored in Cognitive and Linguistic Sciences, and minored in Italian Studies. Post-graduation, Julia spent her days teaching English in underprivileged schools in Brescia, Italy, and simultaneously danced with the esteemed Sonya Mura Dance Company. She also studies opera singing and plans to pursue musical theatre in Boston. Julia grew up in Southern California and danced with The Edge Performing Arts Center, the Norris Center for the Performing Arts, and South Bay Ballet. She also was heavily involved in musical theatre, and some of her favorite roles include Maria in West Side Story, Belle in Beauty and the Beast, the Frug dancer in Sweet Charity, and Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls.
