Jonah Tanguay-Colucci is member of Tufts University's Class of 2018. Hailing from Thomaston, Connecticut, Jonah attended Waterbury Arts Magnet School and graduated with a concentration in dance. After spending several years dabbling in ballroom, modern, and jazz, Jonah decided to focus exclusively on ballet. He auditioned and joined the Woodbury Ballet Academy Pre-Professional Classical Ballet Trainee Program on scholarship. There he received training in the Vaganova method under artistic director Randyl Errica and Vagonova St.Petersburg Graduate Alexi Tchernichov. He has participated in several summer intensives including the Center for Creative Youth and the Kirov Academy of ballet and has had the honor to train under artists like Brian Brooks, Elizabeth Parkinson, and Stanislav Isaev. He has performed in ballet classics like the Nutcracker as well as more contemporary ballets, and is excited to see where Harvard Ballet Company will take him.
