Ana Maria Delmar '20
Ana María is a sophomore at Harvard University from Larchmont, NY. She began her ballet training at Scarsdale Ballet Studio at the age of 3. At the age of 8, she began her training at the School of American Ballet in Lincoln Center. As a child at SAB, she had the opportunity to perform in New York City Ballet's Nutcracker, Firebird, and Sleeping Beauty. At Scarsdale Ballet Studio, she performed various works such as Serenade, Swan Lake, La Bayadère, Firebird, Walpurgisnacht Ballet, Stars and Stripes, and Don Quixote. Later, as an advanced student at SAB, she danced in George Balanchine's Swan Lake, The Four Temperaments, and Jerome Robbins' Fanfare, as well as SAB Choreographic Workshop and New York Choreographic Institute performances. She attended summer programs at Royal Ballet, Chautauqua, American Ballet Theatre, Gelsey Kirkland, Boston Ballet, Miami City Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet and Exploring Ballet with Suzanne Farrell and danced in Argentina with Iñaki Urlezaga's Ballet Concierto. She is very excited to be a part of HBC and continue dancing!
