Allenda Witzel '18
Allenda Witzel is an ALB degree candidate at Harvard University's Extension School concentrating in the Humanities and pursuing a field of study in Visual Arts as well as minors in History and English. Growing up in Spotsylvania, Virginia, she began ballet at the age of 8 with Shirley Bennett at the Washington School of Ballet and then later trained at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Kirov Academy of Washington, DC, and with Peter Stark at Next Generation Ballet in Tampa, Florida. Allenda attended summer programs at San Francisco Ballet School, Academie de Danse Princesse Grace in Monaco, as well as the Vaganova Ballet Academy Master Class Program in Finland. She has recently returned from Seoul, South Korea where she danced from 2015-2017 for Universal Ballet. In Seoul, and on tours around South Korea, Allenda performed in Universal Ballet's Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, La Bayadere, Giselle, Sleeping Beauty, Kenneth MacMillan's Romeo and Juliet, and Adrienne Dellas' Shim Chung. This year, she is extremely honored to be a member of the Harvard Ballet Company.
